Cancellation and Returns policy
Note: Your statutory rights are not affected.
In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations Batricar Mobility Centre Ltd. gives customers a 7 day “cooling off” period in which orders can be returned after the delivery date.
We are confident you will enjoy shopping with Batricar Mobility Centre Ltd. but understand that, in certain cases, the products you buy may need to be returned.

RETURNS (courier or third party delivery)
If for any reason you wish to return goods supplied by us yourself, by courier or third party ,you have 7 days in which to do so. Please note the following conditions:
The cost of returning an item is entirely your responsibility.
We suggest you make use of a parcel delivery company which will insure you for the value of the goods, as Batricar Mobility Centre Ltd. will not be liable for goods that do not reach us or arrive damaged.
The unwanted product must be returned in an ‘as new’ and ‘unused’ condition, including all packaging and accessories.
We reserve the right to charge for repair, replacement, or to refuse any products not returned in their original condition including packaging.
We must be notified in writing either by letter, e-mail or fax within 7 calendar days of the date of delivery of your intention to return any item. Telephone notification is not acceptable.
An administration fee of 15% of the price of the goods will be charged to all returned items to cover any costs incurred by us.

DELIVERY
In addition to the stated price, you may be required to pay a delivery charge for the goods.

In all cases we will endeavour to deliver your products to you within 7 working days of receipt of your order. You will be notified by e-mail of the delivery schedule once your order has been received.
Standard Delivery is by third party courier/delivery service. Local delivery is sometimes available direct from our store, this is dependent on the type of good being supplied and also availability. Please contact us if you have any queries. Charges may apply.
All items delivered via our in house delivery/demonstration method are deemed to be completed sale when the customer is 100% happy with the products delivered .The customers (or customers representative) signature on the handover documentation finalises the sale and is non returnable. Our in house delivery/demonstration system is restricted to customers within 30 miles radius of our New Milton depot . This service may require a further delivery charge.
Delivery is restricted to the United Kingdom only.
Delivery must be to the address at which your credit card or debit card is registered. All deliveries must be signed for and you should keep your receipt.
Every effort will be made to deliver the goods as soon as possible after your order has been accepted. However, the supplier will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through reasonable or unavoidable delay in delivery. In this case, the supplier will inform you as soon as possible.
Upon receipt of your order you will be asked to sign for the goods received in good condition. If you are unable to check the contents of the package at that moment in time please sign for the parcel as “UNCHECKED”. Failure to do so may affect any claims that you make thereafter.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Please note we are unable to exchange or refund certain items due to hygiene reasons or if the item was specially made.
Warranty/Guarantee/After Sales Service
All of our products are UK supplied and come with a complete warranty in the same way that you would receive a warranty if you bought a product from our retail shop.
All of our new products come with a full 12 month guarantee against faulty manufacture or materials. The warranty does not cover maintenance problems, such as flat batteries or punctures, nor items damaged due to misuse. There will be a charge made for this service if the repair is not covered by standard warranty. Warranty information is available by contacting us during normal office hours from 10am-4pm Monday to Friday.
Please Note : Any problems associated with batteries will not generate an engineer call out and operate a return to factory warranty.
After this 12 month period all repair costs will be borne by the customer.
If the customer is not local (30 mile radius of store) we will not be able to offer a ' at home repair service,' so all such goods should be returned to our base at customers expense where we will do our best to rectify any issues.
Non power products such as wheelchairs, walkers and accessories have a “Return to Factory Warranty”*
Return to Factory Warranty means that if you run into any problems during the warranty period simply give us a call first and we will establish over the telephone which part is faulty then all you have to do is return the faulty part to us. We will either replace or repair the part and return it directly back to you. Customers are responsible for the cost of returning the part or product to us.

NOTE
Because we are a “local” dealer we offer and operate a highly efficient service back up to our customers within 30 miles of our service base. Outside this area our service is of a limited nature and customers are asked to be aware of this before purchasing goods. We will of course do everything possible to resolve any service and warranty issues.
Courier Delivery
The item(s) purchased will arrive by standard courier / parcel delivery/or a member of the Batricar Mobility Centre Ltd. staff, (9am - 6pm) boxed for you to assemble and install. Please be aware that some of our products are heavy and you may need to arrange help in unpacking and assembling. Please retain all packaging until you are completely satisfied with your purchase as you will need this for any returns.

Delivery
Installed Delivery (available for local service only – up to 30 miles from our base)(in house service)
Please note that installed delivery service is normally operated by ourselves and requires an additional payment. please phone for details.
This means that your new purchase will be delivered direct to your home at a pre-arranged time. The product will be delivered to the room of your choice and will be fully assembled. All packaging will be taken away and your product will be ready to use.

Delivery notes
We aim to deliver all stock items within 10 working days of cleared funds. (Most products are delivered sooner than this).

Notes
Every effort is made to ensure that the prices shown on the supplier’s website are accurate at the time you place your order. If an error is found, Batricar Mobility Centre Ltd. will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or canceling your order. If Batricar Mobility Centre Ltd. does not receive an order confirmation within 14 days of informing you of the error, the order will be cancelled automatically. If you cancel, the supplier will refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods.
We will be entitled to refuse to accept your order if we feel it necessary, in which case we will e-mail you as soon as we can to let you know.

VAT
All prices are in £ sterling INCLUSIVE of VAT and exclusive of delivery. VAT is charged on all items. However , if the item being supplied qualifies for Zero Rate VAT as per the relief from VAT under the VAT act 1983 then the VAT element can be subtracted in the payment section if you (the customer) qualify for this relief. By completing the VAT relief section on the payments page you are stating that you do qualify for VAT relief under the VAT act of 1983.

Under current HM Customs & Excise rules, tax relief is granted for people who are chronically ill or disabled when purchasing mobility products.
Do You Qualify?…. You are classed “chronically sick or disabled” if you :
Have a log term physical or mental impairment that has an effect on you carrying out everyday activities or : You are terminally ill or : you have a chronic sickness being treated by the medical profession.
You can not claim VAT relief if your disability is temporary or if you are able bodied. (An elderly, frail person who is otherwise able bodied is not eligible for VAT relief).

The goods are subject to availability. If on receipt of your order the goods you have ordered are not available in stock, the Batricar Mobility Centre Ltd. will inform you as soon as possible as to the supply date or refund or re-credit you for any sum that has been paid by you or debited from your credit card for the goods.

PAYMENT

Payment for the goods and delivery charges can be made by any method shown on our website at the time you place your order. Payment shall be due before the delivery date and time for payment shall be of the essence.
There will be no delivery until cleared funds are received.

RISK/TITLE
The goods are at your risk from the time of delivery.
Ownership of the goods shall not pass to you until the supplier has received in full (in cash or cleared funds) all sums due to it in respect of:
The goods, and
all other sums which are or which become due to the supplier from you on any account.
The supplier shall be entitled to recover payment for the goods notwithstanding that ownership of any of the goods has not passed from the supplier.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ( for internet sales)
Any product you buy is at your own request. We cannot see you so we cannot be expected to ensure that any product is suitable for your personal use. This is a responsibility you must accept yourself. We will always try and offer you the best information for your needs. However, any information offered by any member of our staff, either on the phone or online, is for general guidance purposes only. If you have any doubts at all as to the suitability of any specific product for your own use, we recommend that, prior to purchase, the opinion of a qualified Occupational Therapist is sought.
We do not offer part exchange deals with internet sales.
